The Dodd-Frank Act and related U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission rules require certain companies to disclose the extent to which the products they manufacture or contract to manufacture contain so called conflict minerals sourced from mines in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) or adjoining countries. Conflict minerals include tantalum, tin, tungsten and gold, which are used in many electronic components and products.
While Vexos is not a public company and not subject to SEC reporting, Vexos is committed to avoiding the use of conflict minerals and supporting its customers’ reporting requirements. As a global sourcing partner for electro-mechanical components, Vexos promotes the traceability of conflict minerals and the transparency of the supply chain. While Vexos, as a reseller, is not able to certify as to the country of origin of the minerals contained in the products manufactured by Vexos’ suppliers, Vexos is committed to working with its customers to supply products that meet the customer's specifications. Important information on the use of conflict minerals in the technology supply chain is being compiled by the Electronics Components Industry Association and the Electronics Industry Citizenship Coalition. With respect to assembly materials and components used by Vexos in its contract electronic manufacturing services (EMS) business and specified by Vexos (and not materials specified by our customers), Vexos does not directly purchase any conflict minerals from any smelter or mining sources and endeavors not to purchase products that contain conflict minerals that directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups in the DRC or adjoining countries. Vexos expects its EMS suppliers to only source minerals from responsible sources. Vexos fully understands the importance of this issue to its customers and is committed to supply chain initiatives and overall corporate social responsibility and sustainability efforts that work towards a conflict materials free supply chain.
