Senior Vice President & General Manager - China


The General Manager provides strategic and day-to-day leadership to the employees and business processes of Vexos’ China and Hong Kong facilities.  This individual will own results against the company’s Key Performance Indicators, which include but are not limited to on-time/shipped-complete order delivery and other customer satisfaction metrics; cost reduction/continuous improvement and other measures of financial performance and operational efficiency; business capture (in support of the Vexos Business Development Team); safety, health and environmental company policy and regulatory compliance; and the selection, development, retention, and direction of all China and Hong Kong employees to achieve and sustain a high-performance, customer-focused, safe, inclusive workplace. 



  • Create and maintain the staff, performance metrics, business processes, and business culture that assures that the financial, quality and continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and growth objectives established by Vexos’ and Vexos’ China business plans are achieved.

  • Lead and sustain a workplace that attracts, develops, and retains high-performing Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, HR, and other professionals, and that encourages and rewards rapid and cost effective applications of technology and operational excellence best practices to the enhancement of customer satisfaction and stakeholder value.

  • Partner with the Vexos Business Development and Marketing teams to support new business capture and customer expansion, new product and service introduction, and efficient and profitable product lifecycle management.

  • Ensure full compliance with local and Chinese government regulations for safety, health, environmental compliance, export compliance, and financial accountability.  Basically, it is our expectation that the Vexos’ China facilities will look and feel like our other facilities, and that we will provide a safe, secure work place for our employees that are in-keeping with Western standards for a workplace environment. 

  • Maintain all current ISO and regulatory certifications.  Obtain new certifications as required by our global Quality or Business Development objectives.

  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, philosophy, and culture of Vexos and insure that the Vexos’ China facilities operate consistent with all organizational values.

  • Represent the business in key customer, community, and industry events.

  • Act as the overall business leader for the Vexos China operations, working with the other key staff members to grow the business profitably.



  • 15 or more years of successful and progressively broader Operations and/or P&L leadership experience, preferably across multiple functions (e.g., manufacturing, engineering, supply chain management, etc.).

  • EMS industry experience is a compelling competitive advantage.

  • Mandarin / English skills, as well as China / Asia experience are requirements for the position

  • Ability to apply Lean principles to factory floor and administrative processes and to partner with the entire value chain to ensure customer value while maximizing return on invested capital.

  • Proven ability to build and lead a high-performance team focused on enhancing the customer value proposition and supported by process and performance measurement best practices.

  • Deep understanding and experience in Supply Chain Management practices including, but not limited to EMS interaction, inventory controls, cost-out activities through sourcing and vendor consolidation, as well as efficient line loading and planning.

  • Experience in site-level business plan development and successful plan execution.

  • The position will reside in Southern China, in the Shenzhen / Dongguan area. Hong Kong is acceptable, but not ideal, as the operations are largely in Shenzhen and Dongguan.

  • Candidate must be able to reside in China for the foreseeable future.

  • This position reports to the President & CEO.  This reporting structure may change over time and according to the growth of Vexos through additional business acquisitions.

  • Travel to the U.S.A. and Canada will be required

  • Candidate will be available for calls in the late evenings or early mornings to coincide with the North-American time zones.
