Production Supervisor, Vexos Markham
SCOPE
Maintain the flow of product through the processes of the production. Develop and maintain the production schedule for a week ahead or more depending on material availability.
ACCOUNTABILITIES

Ensure all processes/operations in production are going smoothly
-
Develop, maintain and ensure production schedule is being followed
-
Responsible for process monitoring and improvement
-
Identify and communicate all issues related to quality with the Manufacturing and Quality Assurance support group
-
Anticipate and prevent any obstacles that may impede the production process
-
Root cause analysis or first line problem solving of issues and communicating the issues to the person responsible for that process/area
-
Identify and resolve Process / Equipment requirements with the Manufacturing or Engineering Support groups
-
Resolve part shortage problems for Team Leaders
-
Responsible for operators daily scan practice and resolving issues immediately
-
Address and analyze daily missed scan boards from “Daily Scan Report”
-
Maintain requirement of supplies for production
-
Report any major/continuous quality failures (or suspected) to be verified by QC supervisor and QA for that product
-
Verify all processes are performed to the documentation
-
Make sure housekeeping is being done at all areas and is maintained at all times
-
Ensure that each board is being properly scanned through various systems, read system instructions in training aids for any doubts
-
Understand that not scanning board and performing the operation without using View Station during operation may be cause for dismissal

Bring all scanning related issues to the attention of the Process Support Technologist

Handle and store materials/boards using ESD guidelines
-
Ensure quality standards are maintained all through the production
-
Position may involve physical demands such as lifting of heavy objects
-
Recommend any additional staff requirements to the Production Manager
-
Participate in performance review for test staff
-
Review HR, Health & Safety issues with the Team Leaders and if necessary bring this to manager’s attention immediately
-
Maintain daily attendance and Vacation Accruals of all employees using ADP
-
Participate in Quality reviews and Quality meetings, objectives, and continuous improvements
-
Perform any other relevant tasks to help out any other area in production
-
Perform other tasks as required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-
Good knowledge of electronic assemblies including through hole and production components, drawings and BOMS
-
Familiar with IPC standards with respect to PCB repair
-
Knowledge of quality systems and ESD control
-
Good work habits and housekeeping
EDUCATION
-
Experience with IPC Standards and ISO 9002
-
Certificate or Diploma in Electronics or enrolled in a technical school would be an asset
