Conformal Coating Assembler - Full Time, Permanent

Day Shift – 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

SCOPE

Assist and participate in the daily operation of the Conformal Coating Production Cell.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate conformal coating line and inspect results, perform touch-up if required.

  • Perform masking and unmasking processes as needed

  • Monitor and reduce defects to all new and existing programs

  • Ability to communicate and report on key quality, output data and possible improvements to Process Engineer

  • Conduct routine checks and maintenance schedules to maintain conformal coating production line, tooling/fixtures and coating area in good working condition to enable consistent process and minimize down-time

  • Ensure workmanship conforms to IPC 610 Standards.

  • Report all issues to QC and Supervisor and ensure housekeeping is always maintained.

  • Understand that not scanning board and performing the operation without using View Station during operation may be cause for dismissal.

  • Bring all scanning related issues to the attention of the Supervisor.

  • Handle and store materials/boards using ESD guidelines.

  • Ensure quality standards are maintained all through the production.

  • Position may involve physical demands such as lifting of heavy objects.

  • Perform any other relevant tasks to help any other area in production.

  • Perform other tasks as required.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Completion of High School Diploma is a mandatory requirement.

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

  • Certificate or Diploma in Electronics or enrolled in a technical school would be an asset.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in electronic contract manufacturing or OEM manufacturing.

  • Good knowledge of electronic assemblies including through hole and Conformal Coating components, drawings and BOMS.

  • Able to read values and correct polarity of Surface Mount components.

  • Knowledge of quality systems and ESD control.

  • Good work habits and housekeeping.

  • Police Background Check required
