Base pay range: starting rate $18.00/hour

Employment type: Temporary, eligible to convert to FT regular

About the Role

As a Materials Associate, you will pull through-hole kits, customer supplied kits, assist with cycle count, identify part numbers, process and fulfill inventory requests and perform data entry to update tracking software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use and operate materials management software including Rozetta and ProTracker
  • Identify, locate, and properly handle electronic components and materials
  • Prepare kits for production including through hole kits, Hand Adds, Mech, Cables and SMT
  • Perform inventory management tasks including cycle counts and quantity adjustments
  • Process specialized materials (ROHS, ITAR, MSD, PCB panels, ESD components)
  • Follow documentation including travelers, BOMs, work instructions, and procedures
  • Use measurement tools, scales, reel counters, and label printers
  • Identify and properly process scrap, NCM, and material discrepancies
  • Maintain organization of materials in correct locations
  • Operate hand-truck or pallet jack as needed for material movement

Qualifications

  • No prior experience required – comprehensive training provided
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals
  • Basic mathematical skills - ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Computer savvy with willingness to learn ERP software
  • Ability to follow detailed written instructions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

Physical Requirements

  • Use of hands for fine motor tasks such as component handling
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Ability to lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds regularly
  • Ability to push/pull carts with materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Occasional climbing of ladders to access inventory in storage locations
  • Ability to work in various temperature conditions in warehouse environment
  • Manual dexterity for operating scanners, label printers, and packaging tools
  • Close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus required
