About the Role

Vexos is seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to drive growth for our Vancouver Business Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring new customers and expanding relationships with existing clients, focusing on our EMS, PCB, and electro-mechanical product lines. This role will leverage Vexos's Tier 3 service with Tier 1 capabilities to increase revenue and secure new business. The primary territory encompasses Oregon and Washington, with potential expansion into Idaho and Montana. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record in B2B sales within the electronics manufacturing industry and demonstrate the ability to achieve ambitious revenue goals.

This position is hybrid.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead customers through Vexos sales process
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships at all levels
  • Create effective proposals/quotations for prospects and current clients
  • Analyze market potential and customer value
  • Coordinate with internal teams on manufacturing, engineering, and quality issues
  • Drive new program development, quoting, and sampling qualifications
  • Participate in trade shows and conventions
  • Establish and implement sales processes for the Vancouver site
  • Build and maintain strong rapport with the Program Management Team
  • Manage independent sales representatives
  • Support Vancouver site in reaching revenue goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business-related field
  • 5-7 years progressive sales experience in electronics industry, preferably EMS
  • Proven track record in B2B solution selling to OEM accounts
  • Strong understanding of electronic manufacturing processes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external customers
  • Demonstrated business acumen and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM is ideal
  • Willingness to travel within the primary territory and to manufacturing facilities

Compensation

  • Base salary: $90,000 - $100,000
  • Commission: Plan A based on achievement of annual budget, paid quarterly
  • Bonus: Plan B for new logo wins
  • Car allowance provided
